Lornalei C. Meredith

Lornalei Meredith, founder of Meredith Law received her Juris Doctorate from J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Lornalei is licensed to practice law in both American Samoa and Utah.

Lornalei and her former partner were the founding partners of Meredith Law’s predecessor firm, MTL Law. Under Lornalei, Meredith Law continues to provide legal services with the same level of professionalism, efficiency, and ethics that clients and the community have expected from MTL Law. 

From her early days of legal practice in American Samoa as an Assistant Attorney General to the Deputy Attorney General of the Attorney General’s Office of American Samoa, Lornalei has experience in civil litigation, child support, criminal law, immigration, administrative law, employment law, government procurement and contracts, and the unique regulatory culture of the American Samoa Government.

In private practice, Lornalei helps her various corporate and non-profit clients from incorporation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance issues. With her long-standing and extensive contacts within the community and government coupled with her intimate understanding of the local systems, Lornalei helps her clients navigate through the unique government and business bureaucracies.  Lornalei also is experienced with estate planning and probate matters, land matters, and family law.

Outside of her law practice, Lornalei is active in public service to the community through her various voluntary positions in community organizations. Lornalei currently serves as the president of the American Samoa Bar Association since 2018, the Vice Chair of the American Samoa Legal Aid since 2019, and Vice Chair of the Obesity Awakening Movement of American Samoa since 2020. Lornalei enjoys traveling, dancing, cooking and baking.
